Referrals must originate from DCS, Law Enforcement, or the Prosecutor’s Office.
If you suspect that a child is being abused or neglected, call the hotline at 1-800-800-5556.
Referral Steps for Forensic Interviewing through Cherish :
Use the Referral Form for Forensic Interview button.
Input all known information about the client.
Please include the non-offending care-taker’s phone number so that we can do a pre-call.
In the ‘comments’ section please write a brief narrative of the accusation.
Type in your name and email address.
For the Child Advocacy Email (right above the submit button at the bottom of the page), please use the email: intake@cherishcac.org You might want to copy this email address now so you can paste it right in on the form.
Submit your referral.
Call Cherish at 317-773-3275 to schedule your appointment. Be sure to tell whomever you speak with on the phone that you have completed the referral, so they can access the information you’ve provided. This will be helpful in ensuring you do not have to repeat any of that information through the phone.
