WHO WE ARE

The Cherish Center is a 501(c)(3) child advocacy center (CAC) founded in 2009 that provides abuse intervention and prevention services to Hamilton and Tipton County. CACs emphasize the coordination of investigation and intervention services by bringing together professionals and agencies as a multidisciplinary team to create a child-focused approach to child abuse cases. Each CAC is designed to meet the needs of its particular community. Follow the link below to learn more about our team.

WHO WE ARE

The Importance of Child Advocacy Centers

The primary aim of forensic services is to aid in ensuring the safety of the individual child as well as other children in the community. Forensic services are provided in a safe, child-friendly environment at Cherish.

Without CACs

With CACs

Without Cherish, a child may end up having to tell their experience multiple times to multiple parties. They may have to talk in a police station where they think they might be in trouble or may be asked the wrong questions by well-meaning adults. This is why CACs are so important to our community!
